BrainSMART Leading for Learning in Culturally Diverse Environments: Putting Cognitive Research into Practice

With a principal’s busy schedule you may not be able to attend this Institute, but you have the opportunity to bring the knowledge base back to your school by sending a team of aspiring principals/teacher leaders to this powerful 3-day workshop. They will learn to understand, accommodate, and even embrace diversity in your school. Title II funds may be used for this training, as well as other grants and funding sources.

Special discounted registration fee for a team of three aspiring principals/teacher leaders: $1125 (savings of $1500 off the regular member registration fee)

Participants will:
• Understand the power of culture in influencing perception, thinking, and behavior
• Apply the “inside out” approach to understanding diversity
• Decipher nonverbal signals
• Make the most of the right and left hemispheres of the brain
• Reach and teach students with attention deficit disorder
• Work in groups to develop plans for successful instructional practice in their schools
• And, much more
